The work:-
Designing: - Jewellery designing is undertaken for costume jewellery & for previous jewellery. Costume jewellery can be made from material or stone & requires great imagination & innovation. Previous jewellery is railed more the quality of as gems.
Marketing: - Marketing of jewellery essentially involves the selling of precious, semiprecious & costume jewellery for domestic market & for export.
Area of specialization in gemology:
Gemology: Gemologist identify test & establish the right, form, size & other related aspects of diamond.
Gem Grinders: - Gem grinders grind precious stones to required shape & size by machines.
Gem Polishers: - Either manually or mechanically as the specification operating polishing wheels.
Gem Sorters: - Task is to examine, select & remove gems from rough stones & to cut them in required size.
Jewel Setters: - Jewel setter performs the task of setting jewels according to the design of the ornament.
Engravers: - Work involves engraving ornamental designs or letters using fine chisels, hand tools, dyes.
Researchers: - They grow simple crystals from water & other more complex, substances.
